Michaela + Andre Get Married: San Diego Wedding Photography
Well, I’ve always said that I only photograph weddings for couples that actually love each other because the grind of wedding photography will wear you out if you’re not moved by the love of the couple. And that was still true after this past wedding with Michaela and Andre. They peeled it down to things that were important to both of them and read some pretty damn sweet vows if I must be honest.
Sometimes couples let the pressure of all the people watching get to them. It starts feeling like you’re on the set of a movie. They are playing roles. Doing everything they can not to step out of line. Making sure it goes like weddings are supposed to go, which is to say rigid as hell in my book. But thank god for Michaela because when the ring didn’t fit over Andre’s finger perfectly at first go she said in front of everyone, “You better get on there!” like she would have if it were just the two of them. And that’s something cool to notice. It was just the two of them, and the rest of us just happened to be there on a laid-back, beautiful evening in San Diego.
